CeCe Caldwell's Pittsburg Gray and Smokey Mountain Blue

I bought this table and couldn't decide what color to paint it! I finally made a decision on PG and SMB by CeCe Caldwell's chalk and clay paints. I used a stencil from http://www.maisondestencils.com/. I used Seattle Mist to stencil the top of the table. As you can see in the photo, the tables top was damaged with water rings. I sprayed the top with Shellac first and let that dry overnight before painting the table. I do this to prevent the rings from bleeding through the paint. No sanding, no stripping, just start painting and it's that easy! If you have some furniture that needs a new look - CeCe Caldwell's chalk and clay paints are such a great choice. Have you painted anything lately?

Beautiful Flowers and Planters

Today I am posting some pictures I have taken over the years of flowers and planters that inspired me to come home and incorporate into my yard. I used to plant flowers and work in the yard all the time and in my greenhouse. But when my Dad fell ill several years ago I lost interest. But I'm beginning to get the itch again! I admire anyone who has a beautiful yard with wonderful plants. The time and energy that goes into working a garden is endless. So here are some of my inspirations. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. Have a blessed day sweet friends.

Chalk and Clay Paint Make Over - Emerald Isle and Beckley Coal

Saturday was FLW (First Look Weekend) at Fresh. We had vendors on the grounds and the weather was perfect for me to get on the lawn and paint with our newest paints Beckley Coal and Emerald Isle. I decided to paint a telephone table and a small stool. Both of the new colors of paint are wonderful to work with and SO EASY! Here are a few pictures of both of the pieces. Have a blessed week, I will be painting more furniture and posting later.

Bring Your Own Junk at Fresh

Today was BYOJ class at Fresh today and one of our students did a fantastic job on her small cabinet. I just have to share this before and after of her cute finished project. She has taken our PME 101 class and our Advanced Finish 201 class and as you can tell by her work she is doing extremely well with her painting skills. CeCe Caldwell's Chalk and Clay paints are so EASY to use and fun. I know you get tired of me saying that in my posts but I am amazed every time I paint with these fabulous paints. This girl gets an At in our book - she out did herself on this one!!! Have a blessed week.
