CeCe Caldwell's Chalk and Clay Paint - Patina Copper Finish

Here is a sneak peek of a class that I am working on for July. This is a Copper Patina finish on a French provincial vanity that I bought a few weeks ago. I'm almost finished with this project but I'm only posting the drawers at this time (the rest will be posted later). Have you been reading all the discussions about Chalk paint lately? What do you think about all of it? I just wish everyone could get along....but I guess sometimes things just don't work out that way! I've used several different brands of chalk based paints and I really like them all. I prefer CeCe Caldwell's chalk and clay paints because they are not toxic and I can paint inside the comfort of my home. It just works for me....

Chevron Table using CeCe Caldwell's KO and SFT and a Mid Century Dresser

I finished this small round pedestal table today. I used KO and SFT with a chevron stencil from Maison de Stencils. I order stencils from several different companies, sometimes I luck out and get them at a discount but not always. The Mid Century Modern dresser is something that I have pondered about for some time now. I couldn't decide on a color for this piece but finally decided to paint her TCC and KO with a pretty all over stencil from Royal Designs. The hardware needed a little rub and buff to brighten it up a bit. I think this would be a great console for a flat screen television. It would give the room a nice "pop" of color. We will be open at Fresh on Friday, Saturday, and Monday - so come by and see what new things we have brought in to the store. Our classes are scheduled for this month if you would like to register. Have a wonderful week!

CeCe Caldwell's Santa Fe Turquoise and Destin Gulf Green

Two of my favorite colors are Santa Fe Turquoise and Destin Gulf Green! I had a hard time deciding what colors to use on this old serpentine dresser but finally made a decision and I must say I'm happy with her. I found the hardware at Hobby Lobby - they have great knobs and accessories for make overs. I painted all day today and I must say the summer heat is really unbearable. I mostly paint in my kitchen but today I was in the garage and boy was it hot!
